The BEE Knowledge Network and Smart Lessons Competition, IFC/GTZ/DFID 2007

    Description
    IFC's BEEnet and the Smart Lessons Program partnered with DFID and GTZ to co-sponsor a one-of-a-kind knowledge competition for staff across the three organizations. To participate to this historic event, the participants had to write the best lessons learned note about an M&E effort in a BEE Advisory Services project. The intent was to stimulate knowledge sharing while collecting cases and lessons learned for the upcoming inter-agency BEE toolkit on M&E, schedule for publication in end 2007.

    And the winner was... "Show Me The Money!" Quantifying the Impact of Regulatory Simplification Projects by Sanda Liepina, Andrea Dall'Olio and Sanwaree Sethi from IFC PEP. Coming second was... Shifting the Focus to "Quality at Exit" : an Effective Approach to Improving the Business Environment at the Subnational Level by Le Duy Binh andThomas Finkel from GTZ. These and other submissions are posted on the right hand side.
