This report details the findings of a review into the practice of supporting business environment reform (BER) in Bangladesh. The review was conducted on
behalf of the Donor Committee for Enterprise Development (DCED)and was designed to contribute to the improvement of donor and development agencies’ policies and practices in private sector development (PSD) in general and business environment reform in particular, as well as to encourage a better understanding of the various approaches, processes and mechanisms donor and development agencies use to support BER. The review was guided by the 2008 DCED publication, entitled "Supporting business environment reforms: practical guidance for development agencies, which contains a distillation of the lessons learned by donor and development agencies in their support of business environment reforms in developing countries.
